Sanford Health is seeking a Leave of Absense/Workers Comp Specialist to administer, coordinate, and communicate all leave of absence processes according to organizational policies and federal & state laws. This position works with employees regarding their leave questions (i.e. paperwork, short term disability benefits, return to work, etc). Manages all Workers Compensation claims, including return-to work-program per organizational policies and federal & state laws.
Education, Experience, & Skills (Minimum Requirement):
Must have post secondary education and/or experience in a medical field. Solid basic math and computer skills are required. Experience working in a patient care role or with injured workers is desired. Thorough knowledge of organizational support systems for the injured worker, knowledge of federal laws including FMLA, ADA, OSHA, state laws of ND and MN, general payroll procedures, and a knowledge of insurance claim processing is desirable.
